Market Baskets

A few years ago, I bought a silver trimmed French Market Basket in Australia and brought it back with me to Singapore, where I was living at the time. The number of compliments I got, added with the fact I couldn't find any locally, led me to start Great Ocean Road Asia.
After a good while searching, I finally found a small producer in Morocco, whose artisan families still hand make the baskets using traditional methods that date back for centuries. These date palm leaf baskets are so beautiful and versatile - from a 'throw everything into pool bag' to something to take to the beach or a more everyday bag when you are doing the grocery shopping. The smaller bags do really well as alternate hand bags and the larger ones can be used to store everyday things around the house.
